Bio Bus Tours BBTimes December Issue 08...

Hi Guys,

Yes I know I have been a bit slack of late...

December is a wonderful time in Melbourne as the anticipation of a holiday season arrives. The weather is terrific (usually), people are out and about attending numerous events such as xmas parties, concerts,  sporting contests, markets, exhibitions, productions the list goes on and on. I have compiled a short list of my favourite things to do in Melbourne over the month of December.

1. Picnic in the Botanic Gardens, alway a fantastic way to unwind. Or for something different try catching a show at the Moonlight Cinema (Bot Gardens Gate D - Movies start on sundown). Also the Sidney Myer Music Bowl usually hosts some excellent music events some of which are free and because the music bowl is an outdoor venue the music can be enjoyed (if ticketed) from outside the perimeter fence.

2. Suzuki Night Market - At the Queen Victoria Market on a Wednesday evening. Fantastic food, live entertainment and market stalls with a difference.

3. Boxing Day Test Match Cricket - Yes, I know I'm a cricket tragic but the Boxing Day Test match is a bit of a Melbourne institution because of its fantastic atmosphere and huge crowds. This year the worlds number one cricket team (Aussies) take on the worlds number two cricket team the South Africans. Should be a great game...

4. St Kilda Beach - Great place to spend a warm summers evening by the bay watching the sun go down with a cold beverage in hand... Marvellous.

5. Catch one of the many free events at Federation Square...

Hope this gives you a few ideas of what to do in Melbourne over December. If you want any more ideas or particular interests of things to do in town let me know and I will point you in the right direction. Otherwise you could jump on a tour with Bio Bus Tours and Experience Melbourne Sustainably...

To everyone out there wherever you are from the crew at Bio Bus Tours we hope you have a terrific and safe holiday season.

Cheers

BBT News update.....

Hello all,

Hope you are all well.

You may have noticed (or not) that the new Bio Bus Tours website went live last Thursday, if you haven't visited yet please do; can find it www.biobustours.com.au. The site took a lot longer than expected to put together, but definitely a project worth doing i think. I would like to thank David for all his work on the old site and help with the new one.

I have pretty much totally revamped the new one, even changing the Bio Bus Tours logo. All these changes have been made to better reflect alterations in the BBT business model and the new focus that will continue to change over the coming months. The site includes a bit information on our product and principles. Furthermore, I am in the process of putting together a Melbourne resource page and image gallery which I hope wont be to far away.

In other news, if your not from this part of the world spring has sprung in Melbourne, the locals are shrugging off the winter blues and starting to venture outdoors again. I must say spring is one of my favourite times in town, finals in the footy, melbourne Fringe Festival, Melbourne Show and the Spring Racing Carnival is fast approaching plenty of thing to offer anyone.

If your looking for something in Melbourne that is not my product (shame on you) I can highly recommend the Art and Design walking tour offered by Hidden Secret Tours.  This very informative and entertaining two hour tour focuses on Melbourne's street art and design features that if you didn't know they were their you would easily miss,  we even went to a small section of Melbourne that I had never been to...

If you have any feedback good or bad I would love to hear it.

cheers for now

Scott
